Join us June 3-5, 2026 for the Ponseti International Clubfoot Symposium. The event will be held at the Iowa Memorial Union along the river of the beautiful University of Iowa Campus in Iowa City, Iowa. (Pictured below)

Wednesday, June 3 - Evening Welcome Reception 5:00 - 8:00 pm
Thursday and Friday, June 4 & 5 - Meetings and lectures beginning at 8am and ending between 4-5pm
GALA DINNER - Thursday evening, June 4
This meeting will serve as a unique forum to explore many aspects of the etiopathogenis of idiopathic and syndromic clubfoot, which represents the most common musculoskeletal birth defect and a leading cause of childhood disability in the developing world. In addition, a rigorous evaluation of treatment outcomes for both non-invasive and surgical procedures will be addressed. Finally, there will be discussions on public health issues with the main goal of developing programs to prevent and eradicate neglected clubfoot.
There will not be a hands-on, casting/training workshop as part of the Symposium.
You may register early for the event by emailing cathy-grothe@uiowa.edu with your name, position, country and anyone who may attend with you. Some individuals/guests/non-Ponseti providers may be charged a modest $100 fee to covers their meal cost for the entire three days. A $50 fee may be charged to those only attending the Gala Dinner on Thursday night.
CME credit will be available for those attending the event.
Abstract and Poster submission information will be posted here when available. All Abstracts and Posters should be submitted by email to ponseti@healthcare.uiowa.edu. Deadline for Abstract and Poster submission is January 31, 2026.
HOTEL INFORMATION
We have three hotels designated for the event. You can click on the links below to make your reservation. All three hotels are located in the heart of downtown Iowa City and a short walk to the venue.
The closest airport to Iowa City is the Cedar Rapids Airport (Airport Code CID) if you are interested in viewing flight options. If you prefer to fly in to Chicago and rent a car, it is a four hour drive to Iowa City.
